Medical Teams International’s Field of Dreams Dinner and Auction is one of Seattle's top events. In fact, the December 29, 2008 issue of Puget Sound Business Journal ranked the 2007 Field of Dreams as one of the area’s most successful auctions based on money raised.

The Experience

If you have not attended a Field of Dreams auction, you are in for a treat! Guests enjoy the ambiance of Safeco Field’s baseball diamond while engaging in good-spirited, competitive bidding for exciting and unique auction items. Making this auction more than a party is the REAL. LIFE. Exhibit, where guests experience the meaningful work of our volunteers in the most forgotten and desperate areas of the world as well as at home in the Pacific Northwest.

The Guests

Field of Dreams attracts approximately 800 middle to upper income business leaders, philanthropists, professional athletes and retirees from the Seattle area. The audience is relatively affluent, well-connected, educated and range in age from approximately 35-70 years old. They are a group of influencers and have broad local and sometimes, national networks.

Where the Money Goes

With nearly $1.7 million raised and 800 guests in 2008, Field of Dreams continues to contribute a significant portion of the funds Medical Teams International uses to serve those most in need. In fact, since 2000, this auction has raised more than $8 million for the work of Medical Teams International’s staff and volunteers. With an overhead of less than 4 percent, money raised is almost entirely used to support outreach priorities, where funding is most needed. Your participation in the next Field of Dreams will help save and transform countless more lives.
